Jessica Simonetti, PhD, a New York native, is currently living in Portland, Oregon with her wife and family enjoying the mountainous landscape and green belt hiking trails in the Pacific Northwest. She completed her Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Spanish and played Division 1 Soccer-Big East Conference- at St. John’s University in Queens, New York. She completed 3 years of AmeriCorps Service –one year domestically in New York City, and two years internationally in South America and Thailand. She completed both her Masters of Science and Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Palo Alto University in Palo Alto, California specializing in both Mindfulness and LGBTQ Psychology. Jessie completed her APA accredited internship at the Long Beach VA and postdoctoral residency at the West Los Angeles VA, focusing on evidenced-based mindfulness and compassion-based interventions. For employment, she is thrilled to be joining the team at Portland Psychotherapy Clinic in Fall 2020.
