Dr. Sam Lolak is currently a staff psychiatrist/psycho-oncologist at Inova Life with Cancer, which provides comprehensive psychosocial and other support services to cancer patients and their families in the Washington, DC/Northern Virginia region. Dr. Lolak served as a faculty member and psychiatrist at University of Pittsburgh, Stanford University – where he received CCT teacher training – and most recently George Washington University before joining Inova Schar Cancer Institute. In addition to treating cancer patients with psychiatric issues, Dr. Lolak also has a special interest in mind-body and contemplative practices especially mindfulness and compassion cultivation, as well as the issue of clinician burnout. He teaches CCT and other classes for cancer patients through Life with Cancer.
